The research area Information/ Key Technologies implements a multi-disciplinary research program with the overarching aim to develop new generations of computer systems. To achieve this, research is conducted in various fields, including the study of biological systems, in particular the human brain, the exploration of new materials, and new approaches to cyber security. Consequently, the scope of research in these areas differs widely as does the resulting data and accompanying metadata.Helmholtz Information
Hub Information aims to develop general strategies which can be applied to the whole research area as well as specialized workflows for the acquisition and utilization of metadata adapted to the specific disciplines. It will establish these procedures together with and for the scientists. Located at Forschungszentrum Jülich, where many disciplines of the Hub Information are co-located, Hub Information plans to quickly reach out and establish tight links to all scientists in the research area across the whole Helmholtz Community.
